About the Role

We are looking for self-motivated Registered Dietitians with active multi-state licensing and insurance credentialing to join our network to provide professional services in the form of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to support patients using the Season platform. In this role, you will provide person-centered care and education to support behavior change and improved quality of life across the patient’s lifespan. You will also be responsible for writing nutrition prescriptions appropriate for a variety of conditions including but not limited to prediabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and gastrointestinal disorders as appropriate in the exercise of your professional discretion. You will abide by all relevant Season policies and procedures relating to contractors but will otherwise work with minimal supervision and according to your availability and ability to take on assignments.

About Season

Season is setting out to rethink nutrition-based healthcare. Our platform allows doctors, registered dietitians, and other healthcare experts to select  Food as Medicine therapy as part of a comprehensive care plan. This intervention, in the form of a consumer app, allows patients to conveniently choose, procure and enjoy the foods that are right for their nutritional needs and which fit their lifestyle, household preferences and tastes - and finally realize the benefits of Food as Medicine. 

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments for each patient including emotional and behavioral health, interpret personal health data, develop an individualized care plan based on the patient's assessed needs and goals and promote successful self-management.
• Identify and provide age-specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients.
• Document all individual contacts/visits in the electronic health record and outcomes database according to guidelines and in a timely manner.
• Utilize appropriate teaching techniques that are sensitive to the learning preferences of the persons with whom you are working.
• Independently develop person-centered plans.
• Apply current research and evidence-based care to practice.
• Apply self-care behaviors to educate on and initiate behavior change.

About You

• Must reside in the U.S.
• Maintain RD credentialing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (must be in good standing and maintained)
• Knowledge of food and current nutrition trends as well as best practices in nutrition care
• A track record of flexibility in deploying new evidence-based tools
• Excellent nutrition science fundamentals 
• Able to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision other than adherence to policies and procedures applicable to contractors
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, and highly responsive
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to work with a diverse patient population and have exceptional customer service skills
• Has working knowledge of digital health technology 
• 2+ years as a Registered Dietitian with experience in providing medical nutrition therapy via telehealth.
• Valid License(s) or Certification(s) as appropriate with the ability to practice. Must be in good standing and maintained) required at time of hire. Active licensure in New York, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Oregon, and/or Washington is a plus. 
• Credentialed with Medicare with active Provider Transaction Access Numbers (PTAN) in TX, AZ, GA, and/or NC at time of contracting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• In this role, you will enter into an independent contractor relationship with Season. 
• The fixed-rate for this role is $42 per hour.
